The Las Vegas conference was the venue for the fourth annual ASA Educational Foundation auction. Items including fine jewelry, fine wines and gift certificates for Las Vegas venues were available in a Silent Auction that was open during a cocktail reception held prior to the live auction. A number of larger value items – golf lessons, hunting trips, week long stays in the French Quarter of New Orleans – were donated by many benefactors and were sold in a live auction announced by MTS, RP and ARM appraiser and auctioneer, Les Miles, FASA. We thank Les for once again using his considerable persuasive skills to solicit donations from the floor and selling two of several items not originally donated until the live auction was under way!
The event raised more than $9500 that will support the mission of the ASA Educational Foundation, which provides support to would be appraisers as well as those who develop the education programs that makes ASA the premiere appraisal credentialing organization for appraisers of all disciplines.
The Educational Foundation would like to thank donors and bidders alike for their support of the Foundation’s work. Special thanks go to Mona Miller who once again solicited donations, organized their presentation and without whom this event might not have happened. |
